WPC and PVC doors are inherently termite-proof because they contain no food source. Timber doors can be treated with borate or equivalent preservative and protected with sealed finishes, which greatly reduces risk. Mould is a ventilation problem more than a material problem: proper edge sealing, moisture-resistant cores and controlled indoor humidity prevent it far more effectively than any coating.

Coastal projects need three protections: a dimensionally stable core, a UV-stabilised topcoat, and corrosion-resistant hardware (stainless steel or properly coated). Direct sun through glazing will fade and dry any timber finish over time, so shading or UV-filtering films help. For sea-facing balconies and pool-side openings we usually recommend WPC or aluminium-clad systems rather than exposed solid timber.

Yes. A perimeter EPDM or silicone seal in the frame plus an automatic drop-down door bottom is the cheapest way to add real sound reduction — often more effective than upgrading the leaf itself. The drop seal retracts when the door opens, so it does not drag on carpet or tile. We supply them factory-fitted and can also retrofit them to most existing doors.

For export orders we supply doors with full installation instructions, numbered components and machining drawings; local installation is normally handled by your contractor. For project and dealer partners we provide [installation training / supervision / on-site team options]. Pre-hung units are genuinely DIY-friendly; flush concealed-frame and pocket systems are not, and should be installed by an experienced fitter.

A pre-hung door in a prepared opening typically takes 1–2 hours including shimming, trimming and hardware. Hanging a slab into an existing square frame takes around 30–60 minutes. Flush concealed-frame systems and pocket sliders take considerably longer because they interact with plastering. Budget extra time for the first door — once the method is set, subsequent doors go much faster.

Usually yes, if the frame is sound, square and the correct depth. Measure the existing leaf — width, height and thickness — and send us photos of the hinge mortises and latch strike. If the frame is out of square by more than a few millimetres, or the jamb depth is unusual, a new frame or a pre-hung unit will give a far better result than forcing a new leaf into an old frame.

Stand on the side the door swings toward, facing the opening. If the hinges are on your left it is a left-hand door; on your right, a right-hand door. Getting handing wrong is the most common ordering mistake and it usually cannot be fixed on site. We mark handing on every drawing and every carton, and we confirm it with you again before production.

Most of our doors ship factory-finished — painted, lacquered, veneered or laminated — so there is no sanding or spraying on site and no odour in the finished home. Primed-only options are available if you want to match a specific site colour. Factory finishing is also more durable than site painting, because it is applied in a controlled booth with proper curing.

Yes. Store doors flat, in their packaging, in the room where they will be installed for [48–72] hours before hanging, with normal ventilation and no direct contact with wet screeds or plaster. This lets the timber reach equilibrium with the room and dramatically reduces post-installation movement. Do not unpack and lean doors against a wall, which is a common cause of bowing before installation even starts.

Price depends on core construction, size, finish and hardware rather than on the door alone. Rather than publishing a single figure, we quote against your specification: material, dimensions, finish, hardware and quantity. Send us your opening schedule or a rough room list and you will receive a breakdown showing exactly what drives the cost — usually core type first, then finish, then hardware.

MOQ depends on whether you are buying standard sizes or custom specifications. Standard models can often ship from [MOQ] units; fully custom sizes, veneers and finishes are usually planned around a container quantity. Trial orders and mixed containers can be discussed for new markets. Tell us your product mix and target volume and we will propose the most efficient loading plan.

Standard specifications are typically [25–35] days after drawing approval; custom sizes, veneer matching and fire-rated assemblies take longer. Shipping then adds [transit days] depending on destination and Incoterm. We issue a milestone schedule at order confirmation — drawing approval, production, inspection, loading — so you can plan your site or sales calendar against real dates.

Yes. We send finish and veneer sample boards, corner samples showing core and edge banding, and full sample doors for project approval. Sample costs are [deducted from / credited against] your first order. For dealers we also supply a showroom sample programme so your customers can see and feel the construction before committing.

Yes, and it is the most cost-efficient way to buy. We plan the loading around a room-by-room or unit-by-unit carton sequence so your site team can unpack in installation order. Mixed containers reduce your landed cost per item and simplify customs clearance to a single shipment. Send us your full schedule and we will optimise the container plan.

We work on FOB, CIF and DDP depending on destination and your import capability, with [payment terms] for approved accounts. DDP is often the simplest option for first-time importers because it covers freight, duties and last-mile delivery. Tell us your port or warehouse and we will quote the term that gives you the lowest total landed cost.
