16What door thickness should I choose: 35 mm, 40 mm or 45 mm?
Thickness drives both feel and performance. 35–38 mm suits light residential use and keeps hardware costs down. 40–45 mm is our standard for main rooms: it improves sound reduction, gives a more solid close, and accepts heavier locks and concealed hinges. For tall doors over 2.4 m or acoustic applications, 45 mm with a dense core is the safer specification.

17Do you make flush-to-wall (invisible / concealed frame) doors?
Yes. Flush-to-wall doors use an aluminium or steel concealed frame that is plastered into the wall, hidden hinges, and a leaf that sits perfectly in plane with the finish — no visible architrave. The result is a seamless minimalist wall, popular in Gulf villas and Japanese and Korean apartments. The frame must be installed before plastering, so it needs to be scheduled early in the build.

18Can I order the door leaf, frame, casing and skirting as one complete set?
Yes — we supply complete door sets: leaf, jamb, casing, architrave, seals and, if required, matching skirting and wall panel profiles. Ordering as a set guarantees colour and veneer consistency across the whole opening, which is very hard to achieve when components are bought separately. Sets are also how we pack most project shipments, because it simplifies site logistics.

19What opening systems do you offer: swing, sliding, pocket, bi-fold or pivot?
We manufacture swing (single and double), surface sliding, pocket/cavity sliding, bi-fold, pivot and barn-door systems, plus matching frames and hardware kits. The right choice depends on swing clearance, wall construction and privacy needs. Pocket and cavity sliders need the wall built around them, so they must be decided before plastering — retrofitting them later is expensive.

20Are sliding or barn doors soundproof enough for a bedroom?
Not by themselves. A sliding or barn door leaves gaps at the head, jambs and floor, so sound travels around the leaf no matter how dense it is — barn doors are decorative, not acoustic. For a bedroom that must be quiet, use a swing door with a solid core, perimeter seals and a drop-down door bottom; if you need sliding, specify a sealed acoustic track system with brush and drop seals.

21Are hinges, locks and handles included with the door?
Doors can be supplied bare, pre-machined, or fully kitted with hinges, latch or lock, handle and seals. Standard packages include [specify], and we can upgrade to soft-close, magnetic silent latches or designer hardware. Tell us your local hardware standard — US template, European DIN, or your own brand — and we will machine to match so nothing needs re-drilling on site.

22Can you pre-machine doors for our local lock and hinge standards?
Yes. We machine to US architectural templates (2-3/4 in backset, 4-1/2 in hinge prep), European DIN standards, hotel card-lock and electronic lock preps, and custom jigs on request. Send the hardware specification or a physical sample with your order and we will produce a machining drawing for approval before production. This is standard practice for hotel and multi-unit residential projects.

23Do you offer soft-close, magnetic or silent door locks?
Yes. Magnetic silent latches keep the bolt retracted until the door closes, eliminating the click that wakes light sleepers — a standard expectation in Japanese and Korean apartments. Soft-close and damped hinge systems are available for both swing and sliding doors. Tell us the noise and feel you want and we will specify the matching latch, hinge and seal combination.

24What is a concealed hinge and hidden frame system?
Concealed hinges are fully mortised into the leaf and frame so nothing is visible when the door is closed, and they are usually three-way adjustable for perfect reveals. They require a stronger leaf — typically 40 mm or more with a dense core — and precise machining. Combined with a flush concealed frame they produce the seamless, handle-less look specified in most high-end villa and apartment projects.

25Are your doors compatible with smart locks and hotel card locks?
Yes. We supply lock preps for most smart lock and hotel RFID systems, including US cylindrical and mortise templates and common European formats. Because lock bodies vary by brand, send the lock model or template drawing with your enquiry. Getting this right before production avoids the single most common site problem: a lock that cannot be fitted to a finished door.

26How much sound reduction can a wooden interior door actually achieve?
A hollow core door typically achieves around 20 dB; a 40 mm solid core door reaches roughly 30–32 dB, and with a dense core, perimeter EPDM seals and an automatic drop-down door bottom you can approach 38 dB. The leaf is only half the system — gaps under the door and a hollow frame will undo a good door. Always specify the seal package together with the leaf.

27Do you supply fire-rated doors, and which certifications do they carry?
We supply fire-rated door assemblies rated [20 / 30 / 60 / 90 minutes] with [UL / EN / BS / local] certification. A rating applies to the complete assembly — leaf, frame, intumescent seals, glazing and hardware — not to the leaf alone, and field modification voids it. Send us the rating your local code requires and we will quote the certified assembly, not just a door.

28Are your doors suitable for hot and humid climates like Malaysia, Indonesia or Vietnam?
Yes, provided the specification matches the climate. For these markets we recommend kiln-dried engineered cores, WPC or moisture-resistant boards, PUR or laser edge banding, and full six-side sealing — plus stainless or coated hardware against corrosion. We also advise acclimatising doors on site for [48–72] hours before hanging. Standard MDF-core doors without sealing are the usual source of swelling complaints.

29Will wooden doors crack or shrink during the Russian heating season?
Central heating can drop indoor humidity below 25%, and timber dried below its equilibrium moisture content will shrink and may split along the grain. We control this by kiln-drying to a target moisture content suited to heated interiors, using LVL or cross-banded cores that resist movement, and sealing all six faces. Keeping indoor RH around 40–55% in winter further reduces the risk.

30What formaldehyde and emission standards do your doors meet?
Our boards and doors are available to E0, ENF, CARB Phase 2 / EPA TSCA Title VI and Japanese F★★★★ (F4 star) levels, with test reports from [certification body]. F4 star uses a stricter method — larger sample area, 65 °C, unsealed edges — so it is often requested for Japanese and Korean projects and for nurseries. Ask for the report that matches your destination market before ordering.
